A Surprising Discovery

Anonymous Curious Peach #810 · General Confessions

I never thought I'd find myself here, but lately, something has been stirring within me. For as long as my wife and I have been married, we've had a stable and loving relationship built on mutual respect and trust. But recently, as our kids grew older and moved out, there was an unexpected void in our intimate life. It started with little things: playing dress-up when she asked me to pretend I was her father and give her guidance, or taking care of her like the child I once knew she was before all the responsibilities of adulthood took over. She's 18+, but somehow, these moments feel so incredibly right. They bring back a sense of tenderness and playfulness that had faded in our day-to-day life. Last night, as we lay together in bed after one such session where I acted as her father figure, she looked at me with those same eyes full of innocence from years ago and whispered 'You're my hero.' It hit me then how much I've missed being the guardian for this strong, independent woman who still wants to be seen as a little girl when it comes to romance. What are your thoughts? Have you ever experienced anything similar in your relationships?
