Feeling Out of Control in My New Dynamic

Hi everyone, I'm new here and trying to figure out if what's happening to me is normal. I recently transitioned a few years back and am now in my early 30s. I've always been drawn to DDLG/kink dynamics but never acted on it until a couple of months ago when I met someone online who was interested in exploring that space with an adult dynamic, not age play or anything like that. We started out slow and mostly discussed our ideas over text messages and video calls. But then one day, we agreed to try something new during a call. She wanted to explore a more dominant/submissive aspect of the relationship and suggested a scenario where I'd take on a submissive role. At first, I was hesitant because it felt like stepping into unknown territory for me. But there was something about her confidence that made me feel safe enough to let go a little bit. We went through an exercise where she asked me questions and I had to answer truthfully without judgment from either of us. This helped build trust, which is so important in any kind of relationship, but especially with these dynamics. Afterwards, we decided to try out more explicit role-playing during our calls. She would call me
