A Matter of Discipline

I'm in my early thirties and have been with my partner for over five years now. We've developed a unique dynamic where I take on the role of Mommy, and he's my little boy. It began as playful teasing but evolved into something deeper and more meaningful for us both. We engage in activities that can be quite explicit and physical, spanking is one such activity we frequently indulge in. Afterward, there’s an exchange of affection and reassurance. I find it oddly therapeutic to take on this role, but sometimes I wonder if others see it the same way. Is it normal for a relationship dynamic to involve such specific forms of discipline and reconnection? Am I just being overly analytical about something that's actually quite common in our community?
