... And Now What? ...

So here I am, recently divorced after seven years of marriage. Got the papers signed last month, all that's left is to pack up my life and find a new place to live. It's been... interesting, adjusting, you know? The thing about divorce, it turns out, is that your perspective changes on everything. You start seeing old things in a totally different light. For me, one of the big changes was realizing how much I actually enjoyed being taken care of and protected. Yeah, yeah, independence is all well and good, but sometimes... you just want someone to take charge. That's where this little thing comes in. You know what they say about older men having a 'special interest' in littles? Well, turns out it wasn't just them - I found myself drawn to that dynamic too. There was something comforting about acting like a child again... not really regressing or anything, but more finding a role where someone else could lead and make decisions for once. It's all so new though. Met my little mentor through an online community, and we started meeting in person last week. It's exhilarating - there's no pretending anymore. I act the part because I enjoy it, not just to please anyone else. The discipline stuff, that might sound harsh... but it actually feels grounding. Anyway, here's my question: Is this normal? Am I supposed to be happy and satisfied with taking on a little role as an adult? Or am I missing out on something more traditional or mature by exploring something like this? It just all feels so right in one way, and totally wrong in another... ...And I'm sure there's a whole world of kink and play I haven't even touched yet. Just trying to figure things out, you know?
