A Small Act of Rebellion Against My Domineer
Anonymous Starry Plum #790 · General Confessions
I've been in a DDLG relationship for about six months now. Everything has been going well, I feel safer and more comfortable with him guiding me, like the little girl he says I am. But there's something that keeps nagging at me...a sense of guilt for doing something small but against the rules. It happened a few weeks ago when my Domineer asked me to clean up before bed one night. He had made it clear that no exceptions were to be made, as part of establishing this routine and ensuring I maintain order in our shared space. For some reason, however, maybe just feeling tired or rebellious for the moment, I found myself skipping that step. The next morning when he saw the mess left behind, there was a tension between us. He looked disappointed, not angry, but that only made me feel worse about what I did. This is a man who gives so much to make sure we have a healthy dynamic, and here I am undermining it with such an insignificant act. Since then, every time he mentions cleaning duties or talks about following through on our routine, my throat tightens up. Even though it was just one night of laziness, this little rebellion against him feels like a betrayal. And now I’m stuck in this loop of guilt and shame, unsure how to move forward. I know part of me wants the freedom that comes from breaking these rules, but another part feels suffocated by my own actions and wants desperately to earn back his trust. It's silly when you think about it because one night isn't going to ruin everything...but knowing him as I do now, I can’t help feeling like I’ve let both of us down. How do I fix this mess? How do I face my Domineer again with that look in his eyes? It’s frustrating, and yet part of me knows the answer lies not just in doing better next time but also acknowledging what happened and making it right.
