When My Kitten Met His Match

Anonymous Fuzzy Star #199 · General Confessions

So here’s this thing that happened a while back and I’m still kinda mulling over whether I was totally justified in what I did. I have a husband who loves to play Daddy to me, but sometimes he gets a little too invested in his roleplay side of things. And one day it all came to a head with our latest addition to the family, our pet kitten, Mr. Whiskers. I’ll start from the beginning. My hubby and I have been into this kind of play for years now, mostly on my terms because he’s always so hesitant. But one day, I just wanted something different. Something that would push me out of my comfort zone. And that's when I thought about adopting a kitten. We figured it'd be a cute way to blend our pet-obsessed lifestyle with our DDLG play. Mr. Whiskers came home and instantly became the center of everyone’s attention. For my husband, he was another opportunity to treat me like a little girl who needed constant supervision, just by extension this time. He started micromanaging every aspect of Mr. Whisker's care as if it mirrored his own control issues. One day, I had a bit too much wine and thought maybe we should all play dress-up together. But my husband took it way too far. He insisted that I wear the kitten’s food dish on my head like a helmet, while Mr. Whiskers got to walk around free, like he was the master of the house. It felt ridiculous but also kinda thrilling. Then came the climax. My hubby decided that we should have me crawl on all fours and beg for scraps from our little kitten. He thought it would be funny if I'd act like a dog rather than his 'little girl'. But this went too far; Mr. Whiskers, being just a kitten but with claws sharp as knives, ended up scratching me badly during the role-play chaos. In that moment, seeing my own blood mixed with his pet's fur felt like everything was wrong. I didn’t feel cute or little, I felt humiliated and hurt. So there we were, both of us, our playtime ending on a note that made us all question how far we should go in this game. Was it really necessary to get physical? Maybe not. But the memory of Mr. Whiskers' sharp claws and my husband’s laughter still stings as much as the actual bite. The whole experience taught me something valuable, though: our limits aren’t set in stone but they are there for a reason. So yeah, that's it. A story about being a Mommy, a kitten, and a human who had to learn some hard lessons on where the line lies.
