A Day Off for Discipline and Healing
Anonymous Curious Star #290 · General Confessions
So there I was, taking a rare day off as a nurse to indulge in something totally different, my Mommy role. Yes, you heard that right. It's not what most people expect from someone who deals with blood and bandages all week long, but it's my thing. My 'patient' for the day needed a bit of emotional tending too, alongside some physical care. We started off gently, with her coming to me upset about something trivial at work, totally overreacting if you ask me. I set aside a quiet corner of the house and began our session by talking through it like any good nurse would. Then things took an unexpected turn when she realized how much she needed that authoritative voice in her life, guiding and directing her as she let go of stress. It was surprisingly therapeutic for both of us. At one point, I had to take charge and put her over my knee, not the first time, but certainly memorable. We agreed beforehand it'd be a part of her healing process, just like any other treatment. And yes, there were tears shed and laughs shared too, who knew roleplaying could be so cathartic? It's funny how sometimes you need to step outside your usual life to find exactly what you needed all along.
