The Law and the Kink

I'm a first-year law student who's always been into kinks. I've never identified strongly with any one particular thing, just experimented with different things over time, roleplay stuff mostly. Nothing hardcore or illegal or anything, but definitely not vanilla sex either. Got my own little space for it too. This last weekend, went out with a friend who's also in law school. We met through a dating app and clicked right away, both interested in the kinky side of things. Spent some time getting to know each other on a normal level first before we tried anything, really important that we were comfortable with one another beforehand. So last week, we decided it was time for something more intense. We chose this safe word system and everything. He'd be my attorney in a scene where I'm the defendant, him interrogating me and putting pressure on me to confess to things. Pretty standard stuff. But this weekend, during the actual roleplay, he got really into his character. Pressed harder than we expected. I started feeling uncomfortable at one point but then pushed through it, trying my best to stay in character like a good player does. But I had some limits and when they were breached, I couldn't keep up the performance. He didn't seem to understand that was happening and things got awkward pretty fast after. We're still friends now, still hanging out, but definitely not on the same page as far as this goes anymore. I'm okay with it though, there's no shame in being honest about what you like and respecting your own boundaries too. And yeah, my kinks are just part of who I am. So there.
