Caregiving Boundaries
Anonymous Cuddly Marshmallow #992 · General Confessions
I've been caring for my partner since she had a serious health event two years ago. She needs help with daily tasks and emotional support. Lately, I find myself enforcing strict boundaries around her diet, sleep schedule, and even social interactions to ensure her well-being. For instance, if she wants to eat out or stay up late, I step in firmly. Sometimes this feels like overstepping into a 'parenting' role more than being just a partner and caregiver. Is it normal for caregiving to blur these lines so much? Should I seek professional guidance?
