...A Little Mistake...

Anonymous Dreamy Star #189 · General Confessions

I've been playing around with the dynamic for a while now. It's all consensual between us, and it’s given me this little space where I can escape reality and just be myself without judgment or expectations. We agreed on some rules to keep our little world together, like maintaining boundaries and respecting each other’s limits...and yes, no snacking until after dinner. Last night was hectic at the bar; customers coming in late with all sorts of requests... I wasn't really paying attention as much as I usually do. When the place started winding down and I had a moment to myself, something caught my eye: there were some leftover chocolate-covered pretzels from earlier, and they looked so tempting... I thought about it for a while, wondering if just one wouldn’t matter. After all, we both know that little things aren't the end of the world... right? But then again, breaking rules feels like an opening to other stuff I shouldn't do. It's part of why this works so well: there’s a certain sense of order and structure... So I ended up eating just one or two...okay, maybe three pretzels. Just enough to give me that little buzz but not too much where it would ruin my appetite for dinner. As soon as they were gone, though, guilt washed over me like an icy shower. It’s funny how something so small can weigh on your mind. The thought kept nagging at me all night long; even after dinner when we got back to the rules and everything felt balanced again, it was still there...a little hole in what should be a perfect day. And today, I couldn't shake off that feeling of having let something important slip through my fingers... I’m not sure if this is a big deal or just one of those silly moments where we all feel like we’ve messed up somehow. But here I am, admitting it because sometimes you have to face these little bumps in the road...even when they seem so small.
