Exploring New Territory at 45
Anonymous Giggly Peach #122 · General Confessions
I'm Jane, in my late 40s now, and I've been married for nearly twenty years. My husband and I have always had a stable relationship, but lately we’ve both felt the need to spice things up a bit. Recently, he introduced me to the concept of dominant/submissive dynamics as part of our intimacy play. We agreed it could be an interesting exploration of power and trust between us. To my surprise, taking on this role turned out to be unexpectedly thrilling, there's something incredibly freeing about submitting completely to him in these sessions. However, I'm still very new to this dynamic, and there are times when the boundaries feel a bit fuzzy. For instance, sometimes it’s hard for me to separate what he does as part of our role-play from how I perceive him in real life. It's complicated because while this kind of play has definitely enhanced our connection, it also feels like a new world with its own set of rules that we’re both still trying to navigate. My question is: How do other couples maintain clear distinctions between their dominant/submissive role-play and regular interactions? I’m eager to hear from others who might have similar experiences or advice.
