A Day Off from Reality

Today, instead of grading papers and pretending to care about student success stories, I got a taste of my own little fantasy. My partner decided it was time for some 'Mommy' discipline, you know, the kind where grown-ups pretend to be kids again just to spice things up in bed. So there I was, on the couch, acting like an obedient child while he doled out playful punishments that ended up being more about passion than rules. We both laughed afterward at how silly it all is, yet somehow it left me feeling strangely fulfilled and ready for whatever comes next.
