Mature Playtime

I'm in my fifties and have always been a switch, but lately I've found myself diving into both little space and caregiver roles with equal enthusiasm. Last weekend, I initiated a role where I was the obedient student to my partner's strict teacher, complete with playful punishments. Is this normal? Am I just nostalgic for simpler times or is there more to explore here?
