Shameful Secret of a Daddy Figure

Anonymous Secret Bean #219 · General Confessions

I've been freelancing from home for years now. Lately, though, something's changed. I started taking on a mentor-like role with a younger colleague who works remotely too. She calls me 'Daddy' and we have this thing where she respects my decisions like I'm her parent figure. It started off innocently enough - setting boundaries, giving advice. But then it got more... personal. Last week, after a tough deadline, I found myself disciplining her for not following through on her commitments. Slapping her hand with a ruler and making her sit in time-out felt like such an abuse of power, but oddly satisfying too. Is this okay? Should I just stop?
