Admitting My Secret Kink as an Older Man

Anonymous Whispering Pixie #518 · General Confessions

I've been teaching at the university level for over thirty years now. I am a professor in my early fifties, and only recently have I admitted to myself that there's something else about me beyond just my professional life. It was a revelation that came unexpectedly one night when I was sorting through old student papers from decades past, triggered by the nostalgic scent of ink on paper. The memories began flooding back, bright young minds filled with potential, eager faces, and an underlying tension that I never quite understood back then. As time went on, the pattern became clearer to me: every now and again, there would be a student who caught my attention in ways beyond the academic. They were usually female, often young enough to seem like they could still be in their early twenties or thirties when I first encountered them as freshmen all those years ago. A subtle shift in dynamics, something that was always more imagined than acted upon back then because of the strict boundaries between professor and student. Fast forward to now: I find myself realizing, perhaps belatedly, that my attraction isn't simply about youthful appearance or academic prowess but rather a subconscious draw towards the authority dynamic inherent in those relationships. There's something liberating yet also confining about it, a sense of stepping into another role entirely from behind the lectern, and enjoying aspects of being seen as a dominant figure. This realization is still sinking in for me, without any immediate plans to act on these feelings beyond understanding them better within my own mind. It's not something I'd ever want to pursue actively or outwardly acknowledge except here. My confession isn't about seeking validation but rather coming to terms with what I've learned about myself over the years through reflection.
