A Day of Care and Consequences

Anonymous Dizzy Kitten #754 · General Confessions

I've been taking care of Alex since he was in his twenties. It's a strange dynamic, being so much younger than him but holding this kind of power over his life. Today has been one of those days where things started off okay, but then spiraled into something that felt very intense and personal. He wanted to talk about some changes, but the conversation took an unexpected turn when he couldn't focus on what I was saying. It frustrated me, so I decided to give him a timeout, not just for being distracted, but because it seems like he's been trying to dodge real conversations lately. I put him in his room and told him to think about why we're doing this. When he came out later, there were tears in his eyes, which made me feel a little guilty. But the guilt didn't last long once he started to understand the boundaries again. We ended up in bed, where it was just us working through everything physically, intense and necessary, though I'll admit, part of me wanted to take things even further than we did. This dynamic is new for both of us, but there's a lot going on beneath the surface that needs handling with care.
