Thinking Out Loud About Littles and Why

So uh, yeah, I’m the mom at my gym. You know how you see someone who seems like they just need a bit of direction in life? Well, with DDLG it’s kinda the same thing but more fun, right? It's not about the actual age, okay, so don’t get me wrong here... But there's something really compelling about being that support system for an adult who needs some guidance. Sometimes I find myself wondering if it's because of all the times I could’ve used a bit more direction back when I was in my twenties? Or is it just how people need different things at different points in their lives? When I’m with someone, we talk about growth and responsibility, but it’s also really exciting to be that person who can give them the confidence boost they didn't know they needed. It's a bit like being a superhero for grown-ups, you know what I mean? Anyway, I guess this is just me trying to make sense of why I’m so drawn to this dynamic when it comes to helping others out in their fitness journey, and yeah, there’s definitely more than meets the eye here. It's kind of hard to explain because sometimes we're working through tough goals, but then also exploring a different side to our relationship that isn't just about lifting weights or counting calories. I mean, it's all consensual, obviously, but there are these moments where you’re pushing them towards their limits and they trust you completely. So yeah, this is just my brain trying to figure out why I like being the mommy for adults who seek guidance in more ways than one. It’s not always clear-cut, sometimes it's just a feeling, right? Like something that doesn’t need an explanation but needs exploring.
