Just Trying to Figure It Out

So, yeah, I recently started exploring DDLG stuff with a partner who’s in her twenties and seems way more experienced than me. We did some roleplaying last night where I acted really childish, like asking permission for everything and getting disciplined when I messed up, things like that. It was kind of weird but also surprisingly hot. Now I’m wondering if this is just another phase or something to stick with. Anyone have any advice on whether it’s normal to feel conflicted about this kind of stuff right after trying it out? Or am I overthinking it?
