On Deployment Duty

I'm stationed stateside this week, but my heart is with my littles across the world, feeling out of touch and unable to provide the care they need. Sometimes, I wonder if it’s selfish of me to maintain a connection from afar — am I doing them any favors by indulging in DDLG when I can't be there physically? Yet, every time we chat or send little notes back and forth, it feels like our bond tightens despite the distance. What do you think, is it worth it?
