Caught in the Moment

I never imagined I'd be caught up in something like this. I'm a barista at a cozy coffee shop downtown, and every day feels like it's going by just fine until one fateful afternoon when I met him. He came into the shop looking lost, and for some reason, I felt drawn to help him find his way back home, or rather, show him how to let go of all the responsibilities that had been weighing on him. We started talking more over coffee, and it became clear he was someone who needed guidance but didn't know where to turn. One day, we took things a step further during an unexpected visit to his place. I stepped into a caregiver role without knowing what would happen next, and my heart raced as I guided him through some intense exercises that felt more like a release for both of us. Now, whenever he's stressed or in need, I'm there, no labels needed. But lately, I've been wondering if this is just me trying to fill a void from somewhere else? Or is it okay to just be his guide without any deeper expectations? What do you think? Is this something others have experienced too?
