..Trying to Understand..

I'm 36 and recently realized I have a kink for DDLG with my patients. It's strange because I've always been professional, but there's something about being the caretaker that makes me want...to be in control or...maybe play the role of an older authority figure who guides them. But this isn't about real power; it's just a fantasy during clinical hours when we're alone and everything is strictly consensual. I'm trying to understand if there's something deeper here, like unresolved issues from my past that are manifesting now, or if it’s purely the thrill of role-playing... Can anyone provide insight? Is this normal?
