Back in the Sandbox
Anonymous Curious Doll #518 · Rules & Control
So here I am, post-divorce, feeling like I need to take things back to basics. Not literally crawling into a sandbox, but you get where I'm going with it. My ex-husband and I were pretty traditional, even if we thought we had everything figured out. But when he left for someone younger, something snapped inside me. It wasn't about being young again; it was about reclaiming some control over my life.
That's why I started looking into DDLG stuff. I know it sounds ridiculous, a thirty-five-year-old woman pretending to be a little girl? But there’s a comfort in it, an escape from the chaos of adult responsibilities and failed relationships. My daddy is someone new; we've never been married or even dated before this dynamic began. He sets rules like 'no talking back' and 'tucking me into bed every night', stuff that feels more symbolic than practical. It’s not about being a child again but embracing a nurturing relationship that provides boundaries.
To be honest, it's exhausting but also strangely comforting to just let go of the adult world sometimes and slip into this role-played little-space life. The way he looks at me, like I’m his precious charge, it’s both empowering and humbling. And yeah, there are nights when following all those rules feels like a chore, but there's also something freeing about not having to make decisions or pretend to be grown-up all the time.
So here’s to being a little again, if only in imagination and fantasy.
