A Small Lie in a Big World...

Anonymous Whispering Doll #417 · General Confessions

I've been struggling with this lately, ever since I finally admitted to myself that I have these kinkier feelings about role-playing and being disciplined by someone who treats me like an irresponsible adult who needs guidance. It's funny how you can keep something so big from yourself for years, but the smallest things... they catch up to you. Like today. I was supposed to clean the house before going out tonight, my weekly routine. But there I was, sitting on the couch with a bag of chips that wasn't even meant for me, my roommate left it at home by mistake. I didn’t have permission to eat them... but here I am, munching away while dust gathers in every corner. And the guilt! It's like this little moment of defiance against my own rules has opened a floodgate. Sure, eating the chips isn't a big deal, but it feels so wrong when you're trying to build this new self-discipline within yourself... or pretend that someone else is enforcing it for you. I’ve been thinking about all these rules I make for myself, rules around my kinkier fantasies and how they manifest in real life. Rules like not touching the chips, or eating something before dinner unless I've done a task first. It's exhausting to keep track of them all, especially when every little slip makes me feel so small and irresponsible. But here's the thing: why am I doing this? Am I trying to be someone else...or just finding ways to punish myself for having these feelings in the first place? Maybe that’s where it all starts... So there I was, cleaning up the mess I made not just with dust but also chips strewn across the living room. It was a silly thing to feel so bad about, yet here I am questioning every little choice and decision like it's part of this bigger journey towards understanding myself better. And now... now I'm supposed to go out and meet people tonight. How do you explain that little rebellion to someone who doesn’t even know the rules? It’s just another thing eating away at me, a whisper in my ear that keeps asking if I’m really ready for all this... I guess some things are just easier said than done...
