Just Found Out He's Single Too

I found out last week that my ex is single again. We were together for a few years and then I decided to explore the switch dynamic, which was a shock to him. Now he’s back in the dating pool too, but we both have these lingering feelings. Last night, I had this overwhelming urge to call him, but instead, I sent a message confessing my current struggles with being little sometimes and wanting to be taken care of again. To my surprise, he responded saying he misses me taking care of him as well. It was bittersweet, I’m happy we’re both exploring our kinks again, but it also means we could potentially hurt each other all over again.
